Parcel Labeler

For Civil 3D

Pemulis Parcel Labeler for AutoCAD® Civil 3D® is a powerful yet easy-to-use annotation tool for labeling Civil 3D parcels.

Parcel Labeler for Civil 3D is included in Pemulis Map Maker and is sold separately as a standalone application for those that only intend to label using Civil 3D parcel label styles.

Civil 3D can only label a parcel with one line and one curve label style. If you want to label individual parcel segments you have to select each parcel segment one at-a-time, and select the line or curve label style to apply, and indicate the direction of the label.

At best, both methods take a tremendous amount of time and produce incomplete results. Mapping done this way is time intensive and prone to errors and omissions.

What you'd rather have is your parcels labeled correctly, once - the Pemulis Parcel Labeler way!

For the image above, Pemulis Parcel Labeler for Civil 3D labeled all the parcels and parcel segments in one pass using only Civil 3D label styles.

Notice that the right-of-way curves have an overall delta/length/radius label inside the right-of-way, and partial delta/length labels inside the lots.

There are table numbers for parcel segments that can't fit a full label. (Note that there is no requirement to use table number label styles. The choice of parcel label styles is completely up to you.)

The right-of-way tangent for lots 177-179 has an overall bearing/distance label of S75°11'15"E and length 175.54' inside the right-of-way, and distance only labels of 51.93', 65.00', and 58.61' inside the lots.

All of the annnotation was done in just a few seconds.

Since all of the labels are Civil 3D labels you can do with them as you normally would had Civil 3D created them.

Finding and Fixing Errors

Here's an example of the summation of linear partial lengths not equaling the overall length.

Civil 3D correctly labeled the parcel segments based on their geometric lengths, but as one can see the individual partial lengths do not equal the overall length of 322.25'.

Fortunately Pemulis Parcel Labeler has done the hard work of identifying the error for you, eliminating the need for you to plan check hundreds of labels.

The Pemulis Parcel Labeler dialog lists the parcels and the error.

Using Pemulis Parcel Labeler it is easy to narrow the choice of lines to modify to the line highlighted in red, as shown below.

Once the geometry changes are made, the map changes to the image below.

The partial length for lot 109 was 86.62' but is now 86.61', and now the sum of the partial segments equal the overall length of 322.25'.

The shared lot line's bearing changes from S21°15'15"W to S21°15'12"W, its length is unchanged - and the lot line is drawn to remain radial to the cul-de-sac.

Civil 3D shows no changes to the areas of lots 108 and 109, and very minor changes to their perimeters.

Pemulis Parcel Labeler is updated and reflects the changes and the error no longer exists.

Save hours of labeling and gain the peace of mind that Pemulis Parcel Labeler for Civil 3D will identify all geometry errors and their corresponding annotation errors.
